Frequently asked questions

Honest answers about the fake mall. Still $0.00.

What is a dopamine site?

A dopamine site is a fake store that reproduces the ritual of online shopping — browse, cart, checkout, tracking — without charging money or shipping anything. The name comes from the South Korean trend of 도파민 사이트: get the anticipation hit, skip the invoice.

Are there any real charges?

No. Checkout uses a pre-filled fake card. Charged stays $0.00. Coupons, tips, and gift notes are theater. We never ask for a real card number or billing account.

Are the products real?

The listings look real because photos and copy come from public demo catalogs and Open Food Facts groceries. They are not offers to sell. Nothing leaves a warehouse because there is no warehouse.

Where does my data go?

Almost nowhere. Cart, orders, closet, and address live in this browser only. The one exception is a product review you choose to post — name, stars, and text go to a shared anonymous list other visitors can read.

Can this help with compulsive shopping?

Maybe as a pressure valve: you get the ritual without the bill. It is a substitute, not therapy. If shopping is hurting you, use the real resources linked on the About page.

What is Fake Bet?

A joke slot machine in the nav. You bet imaginary money and always walk away with $0.00 in real life. It exists because other dopamine shops have casino chrome; ours is honest about losing.

Why no dopamine meter?

Other simulators gamify the urge with a brain-fill progress bar. We kept receipt, tracking, and unboxing instead — payoff without turning compulsion into a score.

Is there a mobile app?

No native app. Dopomine is a website with a PWA manifest if you want to pin it to your home screen.
