What is this?
Dopomine is a "dopamine site": a fake store built for the part of shopping your brain actually enjoys. Browsing. Choosing. Adding to cart. Pressing the button. Watching a truck move across a screen.
Then nothing happens. No money leaves your account. No box arrives. You keep the rush and the cash.
How it works
- Browse real-looking shops and brands, from a $0.99 pet rock to a $99M moon.
- Fill one cart from any of them.
- Check out with a pre-filled fake card. We never ask for a real one.
- Get a receipt showing exactly what you didn't spend.
- Track the delivery. Standard waits 4–20 hours a step, Express 10–300 minutes, Teleport 2–60 minutes.
- "Delivered" items land in your closet.
Where does my data go?
Almost nowhere, and there are no accounts. Your cart, orders, address and closet live in this browser's local storage — clear it and they're gone. The one thing that does leave is a review you choose to post: name, stars and text get copied to a shared, anonymous list the whole site shows. No email, no login, no tracking. There are no ads and no trackers in this version.
Is any of it real?
The checkout is fake. Nothing is charged or shipped. Product photos and brand names come from public demo catalogs (and, if configured, Best Buy) so the aisles look like a real store. This is parody, not a shop.
Why does this exist?
The idea comes from South Korea's 도파민 사이트 trend. Research on shopping suggests most of the pleasure is anticipation, not ownership. This site keeps the anticipation and throws away the invoice. It is a substitute, not a cure. If it helps you close a real tab at 1am with your money intact, it did its job.
